Fansipan Mountain from Sapa Overview

Known as “the Roof of Indochina”, Mount Fansipan is the highest mountain on the Indochina peninsula, offering incredible views over northern Vietnam and southern China.

Leaving from Sapa, this private trekking tour offers you the chance to climb it for yourself and discover the deeper history of the region with the assistance of a local guide from the nearby Black H’Mong ethnic village.

Hike up to the top of the highest mountain in the region with a professional, English-speaking guide to lead the way. The journey is roughly 7.75 miles (12.5 km) in each direction, and you will have the option to either take a cable car back down (for a fee) or descend via the same route you used to get to the top.

The Fansipan is the highest peak mountain in Indochina Peninsula. With a elevation is 3143m, 1 day trek is very hard and difficult, just for strong people. It takes 12,5 km / way x 2 ways (go and back) = 25 km, ~ 1400m height, total 10 – 12h trekking.

You have a early breakfast in morning and then we take a car to Tram Ton pass at 6h30 am, 2000m about sea level and it is the place to start the trek. Crossing bamboo, old trees forest with colorful flowers and nice streams…

Lunch on the way (camping site at 2800 m), we will arrive to the top about 12h / 13h, on there you will get a lot amazing view of Sapa town and Vietnam – China mountain, hunting unique pictures.

You can take a cable car by yourself on the cable car station (You pay cable car ticket by yourself) or trek back same way to Tram Ton pass to take the car back Sapa town.
